1. Environmental Protection
Due to the environmental fragility of this course, could all players please respect the native bush. Take relief and the penalty as per the rules of golf with the purpose to protect this fragile environment.
2. Fairways
- Please ensure you tee the ball up for each shot on and off the fairway through to the green; this is required to protect the fragile nature of the holes. The exception is at Kalgoorlie Golf Course where the normal rules of golf apply.
- There is a one club relief rule on and off the designated fairways as well as from :- * Staked Trees * Ground Under Repair (GUR) * Casual Water * Holes made by Burrowing Animals *
- Please respect the native vegetation and take relief from native bush or trees on and off the fairways. Relief can be one club length no closer to the pin; this incurs no stroke penalty.
- Remember to tee the ball up even if you are off the designated fairway.
3. Scraping Sand Greens
- Where sand greens are encountered a two stroke penalty is incurred if the ball deflects off the windrow of the scrape and is holed out.
- Scrapes must be of a uniform texture throughout and continue for 1 (one) metre past the hole.
- A fifteen centre metre preferred lie is allowed on sand scrapes not nearer the hole.
- The green must be scraped around the hole on departure from sand scrapes.
4. Artificial Greens
- Please remove mud from golf shoes before walking on to artificial greens.
- Please remove any mud carried on by you onto the artificial greens.
- A fifteen centre metre preferred lie is allowed on artificial turf greens not nearer the hole.
5. Gentlemen’s or Ladies 10.
- In an effort to keep the game moving, after you have exceeded 10 shots on an individual hole you may pick the ball up and move to the next hole.
- Write down a 10 on your score card and circle it.
6. Marking the Card
(CTS tournaments only)
- Each score on each hole must be scored and signed by a fellow competitor. Spouses are not permitted to sign each other’s cards. Cards that are signed by spouses will be disqualified.
- In order to promote tournament camaraderie and mix up the playing groups you need at least 3 different competitors to mark your card on the tournament.
